Our Mission
The Institute for Spiritual Development, a separately incorporated ministry of the Sisters of Mercy Northeast Community, responds to people of all faiths by creating a physical, emotional and spiritual environment for renewing and deepening their spiritual life.
The Institute for Spiritual Development offers services and programs for people of all faiths to explore and deepen their spiritual life, providing healing and hope for individuals and society.
The Institute provides a much needed resource for those who are longing to connect with God, each other and oneself to further enrich their spiritual lives. All of our retreats/programs are set in a nurturing, safe, and accepting environment that promotes self-discovery and enhanced well-being. In addition to individual spiritual direction services, we offer a wide variety of spiritually-based programs that will help you explore and expand your relationship with the "Holy Other."
At the Institute for Spiritual Development, we are committed to compassionate service and to respecting human dignity in all people, regardless of faith. All are welcome. We meet people wherever they may be on their spiritual journey.
